GOOMBAY SMASH RACING PROGRAM

The Goombay Smash racing program is an international sailing team owned by USA based businessman Doug Douglass. The racing fleet consists of three different boats, each enjoying thier own international successes over the past eight years. Team Goombay Smash has competed sucessfully on a Swan45, a Farr40, and also a Melges32.

The team’s objective is to always be highly competitive, taking advantage of the latest equipment and racing techniques. Doug Douglass is a passionate sailor who grew up sailing on the New England coast. He uses his excellent knowledge of the sport to put together a winning team year after year.
